IT foundations and solidifying Rise With Tech

Tech: Build the Basics of IT Support (Part 1 — Foundations)

This week, I started the journey into Foundations of IT Support, the very first building block for anyone stepping into the world of IT.

Here’s what I worked on:

  • Researched what IT Support Specialists actually do (Help Desk, Desktop Support, L1–L3).
  • Grabbed a screenshot of my system’s RAM, OS version, and storage type.
  • Broke down why each of those specs matters when troubleshooting.
  • Practiced explaining a technical fix in plain English (because if you can’t explain it simply, you don’t really understand it).

The takeaway: IT isn’t just about fixing problems — it’s about learning how to see the system clearly, translate the technical into the human, and build a foundation you can actually grow on.

Therapy: Phase Two, Step Two — Solidify Rise With Tech

Phase One of therapy taught me survival and discipline. Phase Two is about building something unshakable.

Step Two is where I focus on making Rise With Tech real. Not just an idea, but a system I maintain weekly:

  • Publishing posts (both technical and personal growth).
  • Sharing updates across platforms.
  • Treating my progress like a portfolio that shows the world not just what I do — but who I’m becoming.

This step is about consistency. I’m not just building a site; I’m building evidence of momentum, confidence, and growth.

Resources for the Week

Here are a couple of gems to explore:

Motivation Moment

When you’re building something new — whether it’s a career, a brand, or a habit — it will always feel shaky at first. Don’t mistake that for failure. The discomfort is proof that you’re moving beyond where you’ve been.

Remember: growth doesn’t feel comfortable — it feels alive.

Closing Thoughts

Another week, another step forward. I’m stacking skills in IT, reinforcing habits in therapy, and carving out space for Rise With Tech to grow into something bigger than me.

If you’re reading this, you’re part of that growth. Let’s keep pushing.
