Why We Don’t Teach “Intro to IT” at RiseWithTech

Because No One Gets Hired for That

Let’s be real.

Most tech training out there is filled with courses like “Intro to Networking” or “Fundamentals of IT.” And while those sound useful, here’s the problem:

Nobody’s hiring you for an intro.

They’re hiring you to do a job.

At RiseWithTech, we’re doing things differently. Every course we create is built around a real role — one that companies are actively hiring for. Not theory. Not fluff. Just the actual skills you’ll need to walk into a job and say,
“Yeah. I can handle that.”

We Teach the Job — Not Just the Topic

Let’s say you want to work in networking. Most programs will start with something called “Networking 101.” We start with a course called “Network Administrator.”

Why?
Because that’s the actual job.

You’ll learn how to set up routers, manage firewalls, troubleshoot outages — the exact kind of work you’d do if you were hired. Same goes for roles like:
