How am I feel right now?
Right now, I’m still dealing with anxiety.
I was about to write “some anxiety,” but I want this journal to be honest. If it isn’t one thing, it seems to become something else.
Today I found myself looking up symptoms of ALS. Last week my mind was focused on brain cancer or a brain tumor. Even though I know those possibilities are extremely unlikely, my thoughts still have a tendency to race.
Aside from that, I spent the last few hours focusing on being active.
This weekend I stayed up until around 5:00 a.m., so I didn’t wake up until later in the afternoon. Tonight, I want to begin getting my sleep schedule back on track.
My goal is to be in bed by 12:45 a.m., even if I don’t fall asleep immediately.
How did I approach today?
Honestly, today was mostly about relaxing.
I didn’t do much outside of my daily routine. Even so, I pushed myself to reach 10,000 steps and complete both my cardio and strength training.
As far as hobbies or going out, I kept things pretty quiet.
One thing I’m proud of is that no matter how relaxed the day feels, I still aim to complete my daily tasks.
What is one thing I completed today?
One thing I completed today was starting a draft for an email I need to send tomorrow regarding a recurring printer issue.
Anxiety may still be part of my story today, but it doesn’t get to decide whether I move forward. I’m learning that I can acknowledge fear while continuing to live intentionally.
