Day 85 – Managing My Own Mood

How do I feel right now?

Right now, I feel better.

Today was a mixture of tiredness, rest, frustration, and eventually some space to think.

I already woke up with my head feeling a little off. On top of that, I felt like I wasn’t getting the intentional conversation I wanted.

How did I approach today?

I approached today feeling groggy.

I was low-energy and honestly just annoyed.

That frustration affected my mood more than I would have liked.

What is one thing I completed today?

One thing I did today was read to gain some perspective.

I was able to think through what I was feeling, express it, and get some perspective before deciding how I wanted to handle things.

By the end of the day, I had a clearer mind.

I took an approach that I feel good about, and I’m glad I didn’t simply react based on how I felt earlier.

Additional Reflection

One thing I learned today is that I need to get better at managing my own mood instead of allowing someone else’s actions to determine how I feel.

That doesn’t mean ignoring things that bother me.

Communication still matters to me, and if something becomes a pattern, I should be able to talk about it.

But there’s a difference between communicating something that bothers me and allowing it to control my entire mood.

That’s something I want to continue working on.

All in all, it was a decent ending to a sluggish day.
